KoreaChecker — Privacy Policy

KoreaChecker ("the App", "we") is a product check and inspection arrangement service operated in the Republic of Korea. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and how it is handled.

1. Information We Collect

• Account information: your email address and password (managed by Firebase Authentication; we never see your password in plain text).
• Order information: item name, work scope, location, requested date, and the contact details you enter when submitting an order.
• Company information (optional): company name, business/tax ID, address and phone number you save in "My Info" — used only to issue quotes and invoices.
• Chat content: messages, photos and videos exchanged with us in the in-app chat.
• Device token: a push-notification token (Firebase Cloud Messaging) so we can notify you about quotes, payments and order progress.
• Usage and diagnostics: anonymous app-usage statistics (Firebase Analytics) and crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics), used only to improve stability and the service. These may include device model, OS version and app-instance identifiers; they are not used to identify you personally.

2. How We Use It

• To review your order, send you a quote, and carry out the requested check.
• To communicate with you via chat and push notifications.
• To process payments (payment itself is handled by external providers such as PayPal — we never receive or store your card number).
• To issue invoices when you provide company information.

3. Storage and Security

Data is stored on Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore / Storage / Authentication) in the asia-northeast3 (Seoul) region. Access is restricted by security rules: you can only read your own orders and chats, and field agents assigned to a job never receive your name, email or contact details.

4. Sharing

We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties. Work instructions sent to field agents contain only the item, location and work scope — never your identity or contact details. Official inspection orders are forwarded to registered inspection companies only with the details needed to perform the service.

5. Retention and Deletion

Order and chat records are kept while your account is active and as required for business records. You may request deletion of your account and personal data at any time by contacting us at the address below; we will delete data that we are not legally required to retain.

6. Children

The App is a business-to-business service and is not directed at children under 14.
